On my first trip to Africa, I learned a valuable lesson from the old adage "Give the man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
Being typical Americans we arrived to Africa laden with clothing, Bibles, and school supplies. They were well received, but when we left I had no peace. Later God spoke, “you’re going to change the economy of Kenya.” I asked how, and He pressed on my heart "through education".
That’s the way to teach a man to feed himself for a lifetime!
We have partnered with Bishop Oomo Oddy of Fountain of Life Worship Church in Kenya (Riat) to help him finish his Resource Center which will have a modern kitchen, dining hall, multi-purpose room, classrooms, computers and latrines.
